We dismantled an engine.. took off the parts until we got to take off the internal parts such as the pistons , Connecting rods, the bearings. We measure the Crank Journals, and the Cam lobe measurments. and then Rebuild the whole engine after.
I learnt how to strip the engine right to the bearings. i learnt how to use the vernier callipers, Outside Micrometers and other types of Measuring tools.
i thought i did pretty well considering i didnt do anything wrong and the timeframe of my work was pretty average. maybe next time i can do better and maybe measure other parts of the engine.
I have not so far done the assessment but i have done work on engines like this in the past. so ill update this blog after i get to do the assessment
